⚠️ Travel Advisory for Tourists Visiting Northern Areas of Pakistan
In view of the weather alert issued by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), tourists planning to visit Pakistan’s northern regions are advised to exercise caution during their travel from 10–15 June 2026.
Heavy rainfall is expected in various parts of Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and adjoining mountainous areas, which may result in flash floods, landslides, road blockages, and travel disruptions.
PTDC Advisory for Travelers: ✅ Avoid non-essential travel to high-altitude and vulnerable mountainous areas during periods of intense rainfall.
✅ Stay updated on weather forecasts and road conditions before commencing your journey.
✅ Exercise extra caution near rivers, streams, and flood-prone locations.
✅ Keep emergency supplies, first-aid kits, and communication devices readily available.
✅ Follow instructions issued by local authorities and disaster management agencies.
