Murad Sadpara is the unsung hero of Pakistan
Murad Sadpara, who spends his summers climbing and winters driving a tractor, is the only mountaineer in the world to take off his shirt at the top of K-2, setting an incredible record, single-handedly rescuing dozens of climbers from Broad Peak in 2022. He was a member of the team that recovered the dead body of Afghan mountaineer Ali Raza Sakhi from K-2 in 2023. A few days before this recovery operation, Murad Sadpara had climbed Nanga Parbat twice in 6 days, from K-2 in August 2024. The mountaineer of Shagar was included in the team to recover the dead body of Hasan Shagri, today Murad Sadpara has suffered an accident on an easy mountain like Broad Peak, that is, a stone coming from a height of 5,700 meters fell on Murad’s head.
At such a high altitude and in harsh weather, this injury proved to be fatal. And the player of heights sacrificed to his hobby.
