‎𝙅𝙖𝙝𝙖𝙯 𝘽𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙖 is a spectacular alpine meadow located in the 𝙐𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙧 𝘿𝙚𝙧 District of KPK, Pakistan. Situated at an elevation of approximately 3,100 meters (10,170 feet) above sea level, it is one of the most beautiful high-altitude meadows in the country.

‎‎𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙝𝙤 𝙑𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙮 is located in the 𝙎𝙠𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙪 District of 𝙂𝙞𝙡𝙜𝙞𝙩-𝘽𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣, Pakistan. It sits at a high altitude of approximately 3000 𝙩𝙤 3600 meters . About 45 kilometers from Skardu City, the journey takes roughly 1.5 to 2 hours by vehicle. 𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙝𝙤 𝙑𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙮 lies in the 𝙃𝙞𝙢𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙣 & 𝙆𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙠𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙢 mountain ranges in northern Pakistan.

‎The name "𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙝𝙤" comes from the 𝘽𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙞 word for "𝙍𝙖𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙣", reflecting the valley's abundance of grapes. Historically, the valley gained recognition in the late 19th century when 𝘽𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙨𝙝 𝙢𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙧 𝙒𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙖𝙢 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙣 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙬𝙖𝙮 explored the area & named it after the Japanese poet 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙨𝙪𝙤 𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙝𝙤. The valley also features ancient sites, including Bhangma Kher, a fort from the Buddha era.

‎𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙝𝙤 𝙑𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙮 sits at a high altitude of approximately 3,600 meters (11,800 feet) and is located about 45 kilometers from 𝙎𝙠𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙪 𝘾𝙞𝙩𝙮. It's flanked by towering mountains, creating a natural sanctuary.

‎📜 𝙃𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮 & 𝙉𝙖𝙢𝙚 𝙊𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙞𝙣
‎The valley was first explored in 1892 by British mountaineer William Martin Conway. He named it after the Japanese poet 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙨𝙪𝙤 𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙝𝙤, whom he greatly admired. The name also has a local meaning, as "Basho" translates to "Raisin" in the Balti language, reflecting the area's abundance of grapes.

‎The valley is home to diverse wildlife, including 𝙎𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙇𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙨, 𝙞𝙗𝙚𝙭, 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙠𝙝𝙤𝙧 & 𝘿𝙚𝙚𝙧. These species are protected in the nearby Basho National Park, which was established in 2003.
