Go to the mountains they said

You haven’t experienced Pakistan, until you’ve seen the North I was told. And in essence, they were right. Although each region of Pakistan holds a unique quality and beauty, the north has a certain alluring majesty of its own.

Nearly one month up here so far, my journey has been nothing short of an adventure. But not the adventure I was expecting. As high as the looming peaks and depths of the valleys below, so was my journey to let go. With their humbled grace and wisdom, the mountains gently whispered in the cool glacier breeze, it’s time to come home.

Life is an ever evolving opportunity to awaken to our true selves. Yet we struggle to find this peace amongst the chaos we create in our lives. Holding on the the things that don’t serve our higher good. When In fact, our soul knows best. So the discomfort and panic grows the longer we hold on to these “things”. Our beings long for connection and to be heard yet we continue to numb and distract. Until the message is delivered louder and louder, and soon it becomes a deafening silence. We must be still enough to hear it.

Off to the mountains I go to find my peace and heal my soul
