The mountains have witnessed countless dreams, but today they stand in silence.

We pay our deepest respects to the brave climbers who lost their lives during the Broad Peak Expedition 2026. Their courage, determination, and passion for the world's highest peaks will never be forgotten.

Among them was Pakistan's own Sohail Sakhi, alongside remarkable mountaineers from Nepal, the USA, Oman, and China. They inspired the climbing community with every step they took toward the summit.

May Allah grant bring peace to their souls, and give strength and patience to their families, friends, and teammates.

Some journeys don't end at the summit, they become legends that live on forever.

Today, we remember Nirmal "Nims" Purja—a mountaineering legend whose courage, determination, and passion redefined what was once thought impossible.

From inspiring millions with extraordinary achievements to pushing the limits of human endurance, Nims Dai showed the world that true greatness is measured not only by the summits we reach but by the lives we inspire along the way.

His journey may have ended on the mighty slopes of Broad Peak, but his legacy will continue to guide every climber who dreams of standing among the world's highest peaks.

At Footsteps Travel Tribe, we pay our deepest respects to a hero of the mountains and extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, teammates, and the global mountaineering community.
