PIA is getting ready to recommence its flight services to Paris next month. During a discussion with a group from the Council of Economic and Energy Journalists in Islamabad, The spokesperson for PIA, disclosed that the national airline anticipates receiving the much-awaited safety clearance from the International Aviation Safety Assessment (IASA) by the end of this month.
"Once we obtain the clearance, we'll kick off flights to Paris by June, and then proceed to reintroduce direct flights from Pakistan to Heathrow Airport in Britain on August 14,"
In anticipation of the European and British routes reopening, PIA has accelerated the maintenance and overhaul procedures for its Boeing 777 aircraft fleet.
Presently, seven Boeing 777 planes are operational, with two more slated to join the fleet within the next two months. This expansion will allow PIA to efficiently operate flights to Europe and Britain, boasting a total of nine Boeing 777 planes.
