Hussain Nagri 🥭 👨 He has been a driving force behind RAI GB’s efforts to tackle poverty, lack of education, healthcare services, and environmental issues in the region.

Hussain is a dedicated social entrepreneur and founder of RAI GB, an organization committed to promoting social and economic development in Gilgit-Baltistan. Hussain holds a Masters in Media Sciences from the University of Karachi and has worked with local newspapers and online outlets in Gilgit-Baltistan, highlighting key local issues, with a particular focus on environmental concerns. He has als

o gained valuable experience as a cameraman with a national television network. In addition to his social work, Husain has a keen interest in tourism and has established Hotel Xtasy Rakaposhi and a guest house in Nagar Valley, Gilgit-Baltistan, which provides employment opportunities and contributes for the local community and contribute to the region’s economy. Husain’s dedication and leadership has been critical to the success of RAI GB, and he continues to work tirelessly towards the organization’s mission. He has served in different positions with various NGOs in Pakistan, including as the media coordinator for Young Reformers Gilgit Baltistan and as a member of the National Youth Assembly Pakistan GB chapter, where he served as the Minister of Information.

3rd and Final Day of Down Syndrome Advocacy on Capitol Hill Representing NDSS &

As I wrap up three impactful days of advocacy on Capitol Hill, I’m honored to have represented both the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) and the Research and Advocacy Institute Gilgit-Baltistan RAIGB.

During our visit, we met with every U.S. Senator and House Representative from Texas to advocate for legislative priorities that support the Down syndrome community. We urged members of Congress and the Senate to:

1- Cosponsor the Charlotte Woodward Organ Transplant Discrimination Prevention Act (H.R. 1520 / Senate bill upon reintroduction)
2- Cosponsor the ENABLE Act (S. 627 / H.R. 1436) to make vital ABLE account provisions permanent
3- Protect Medicaid from funding cuts or harmful changes
4- Support special education through increased funding from the Department of Education
5- Include the Down syndrome community in national Alzheimer’s initiatives
5- Back public benefits reform to promote better care and greater opportunities

آج، 23 مارچ 2025 کو، ہیوسٹن، ٹیکساس کے ڈاؤن ٹاؤن علاقے میں حضرت امام علی ابن ابی طالب (ع) کی شہادت کی یاد میں سالانہ جلوس منعقد ہو رہا ہے۔ یہ جلوس ہرمن اسکوائر پارک، 900 اسمتھ اسٹریٹ، ہیوسٹن، TX 77002 میں ہو رہا ہے۔ اس موقع پر مومنین امام علی (ع) کی قربانیوں کو یاد کرتے ہوئے ان کی تعلیمات پر غور کریں گے اور ان کے نقش قدم پر چلنے کا عزم کریں گے۔

وزیرُاعلیٰ گلگت بلتستان نے حال ہی میں امریکہ کے شہر ہوسٹن میں منعقدہ انویسٹمنٹ سمٹ میں شرکت کی اور اپنے خطاب میں گلگت بلتستان کی اقتصادی، سیاحتی اور قدرتی وسائل کی اہمیت پر روشنی ڈالی۔ سمٹ کا مقصد گلگت بلتستان میں سرمایہ کاری کے مواقع کو اجاگر کرنا اور بین الاقوامی سرمایہ کاروں کو اس خطے کی ترقی میں شراکت داری کی دعوت دینا تھا۔

اپنے خطاب کے دوران، وزیرُاعلیٰ نے گلگت بلتستان کی جغرافیائی اہمیت، معدنی وسائل، اور دنیا کے بلند ترین پہاڑی سلسلوں کی موجودگی پر زور دیا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ گلگت بلتستان نہ صرف پاکستان بلکہ پورے خطے کے لیے ایک اقتصادی حب بننے کی صلاحیت رکھتا ہے۔ وزیرُاعلیٰ نے سیاحت کے شعبوں میں سرمایہ کاری کے مواقع کا ذکر کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ یہ شعبے سرمایہ کاروں کے لیے غیرمعمولی مواقع فراہم کرتے ہیں۔

انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ گلگت بلتستان کی حکومت سرمایہ کاروں کے لیے ایک سازگار ماحول فراہم کرنے کے لیے پرعزم ہے۔ اس موقع پر انہوں نے مقامی اور بین الاقوامی سرمایہ کاروں کو دعوت دی کہ وہ اس خطے میں سرمایہ کاری کریں اور اس کی ترقی میں اپنا کردار ادا کریں
