Step-by-Step Process to Work as a Doctor in different Gulf Countries✈️💉🩺🩻🧬🔬🌡️🕵️
STEP 1: Decide on the Country
Choose your target country (UAE, KSA, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain). Each has different licensing authorities but shares a similar structure.
STEP 2: Understand Eligibility Criteria
Common requirements across Gulf countries:
MBBS degree (recognized by PMDC/PMC)
One-year House Job (Internship)
Valid PMDC/PMC registration
Clinical experience (1-2 years preferred for GP; more for specialists)
Good standing certificate (from PMDC or last employer)
STEP 3: Start with DataFlow Verification

STEP 4: Book and Take the Prometric Exam
Almost all Gulf countries require passing the Prometric licensing exam.
Prometric Details:
MCQ-based, mostly clinical scenarios
Conducted at Prometric centers in Pakistan (Lahore, Islamabad, Karachi)
Open to MBBS graduates with DataFlow in process

STEP 5: Apply for Eligibility or License
Once you pass Prometric and complete DataFlow, apply for eligibility or license:

Submit eligibility documents
Get Eligibility Letter (valid for 1 year, needed to apply for jobs)
Saudi Arabia:
SCFHS Mumaris Plus system
Apply for classification + registration after passing SMLE
Qatar:
QCHP portal
Apply for practitioner licensing
Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait:
Apply through respective Ministry or Health Council website
STEP 6: Secure a Job Offer
You can now:
Search online (LinkedIn, Bayt, hospital websites)
Apply through agencies
Visit Gulf countries on visit visa for walk-in interviews

STEP 7: Get Final License & Start Work

SMLE (Saudi Medical Licensing Exam) via Prometric
Requires Dataflow verification
3. Qatar
Authority: Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners (QCHP)
Exam:
Prometric-based QCHP Exam
