Allama Muhammad Iqbal, the "Poet of the East" was born on 9th November 1877 in Sialkot, within the Punjab Province of British India (now in Pakistan) and died on 21st April 1938 in Lahore. We celebrate this day in remembrance of our "National Poet" who bore the dream of Pakistan.
