Alhamdulillah
Another Epic Achievement by Our Team!

On July 3rd our team from K2 Adventure Guide consisting of 3 members and with dedicated staff began their journey from Skardu into the heart of the Karakoram towards the mighty Baltoro Glacier.

After days of trekking through the raw wilderness the team reached Concordia on July 11th where they were rewarded with stunning views of the world’s most majestic peaks like K2 BroadPeak , GI and II . Concordia – truly The Throne Room of the Mountain Gods – offered a mesmerizing panorama that left everyone in awe.

On July 12th despite harsh weather and limited visibility our team pushed forward to K2 Base Camp and returned to Broad Peak Base Camp by evening – a true test of strength and spirit.

The next leg of the journey took them to Ali Camp alongside another group of 18 members. With full preparation and strong determination our team began the midnight ascent of Gondogoro La in heavy snowfall and in darkness. Many considered turning back due to the brutal conditions but the passion and resilience of our team kept them going.

By 7:00 AM, they successfully reached the top of Gondogoro La where snowfall continued and visibility was extremely low. The descent was equally dangerous with slippery conditions potential rockfalls and long queues from other groups. Yet with teamwork experience and unwavering courage our team safely crossed Gondogoro La.

despite severe weather low visibility and constant snowfall our team made it through proving once again the power of commitment, preparation, and adventure spirit.

This year many groups were unable to cross Gondogoro La due to bad weather, with many international trekkers did via same Route But against all odds our team made it happen GGLA.

Massive respect and gratitude to our entire team your strength unity and dedication turned this journey into a successful and unforgettable adventure.

Russian climber Denis Urubko, alongside his wife Maria Cardell, successfully summited Nanga Parbat (8,126 meters) in alpine style, establishing a new route during their ascent via the Diamer face. Urubko has completed 28 ascents of 8,000-meter peaks, including seven first ascents via new routes. He has also climbed all 14 of the world’s highest mountains without the use of supplementary oxygen.

In another achievement between June 9 and 13, local Pakistani climber Mueez Ud Din, together with French alpinist Mathieu Maynadier, pioneered a new 1,800-meter alpine route on the East Ridge of Spantik (7,027 meters). This is the first major new alpine route in Pakistan to be established by a local climber. The expedition lasted 25 days, with the team spending 10 of those days waiting out severe weather at base camp.

Follow for more.

Renowned Russian climber Denis Urubko and his wife Maria Cardell successfully summited Nanga Parbat (8,126m) in alpine style while also charting a new route for ascent. Mr Urubko, with his wife Maria Cardell, arrived at base camp on Saturday and scaled the killer mountain without using supplementary oxygen.

Karim Shah Nizari, a friend of the climbers, told Dawn that the duo successfully opened a new route via Diamir Face on Nanga Parbat. According to the Russian media, they scaled the mountain fast and light and returned safely to the base camp after the summit.

With this achievement, Urubko has made 28 ascents of the eight-thousanders, with seven new routes opened and two first winter ascents, including Makalu in 2009 and Gasherbrum II in 2011. He has also scaled all 14 highest mountains in the world without using supplementary oxygen.

Adam Bielecki was born on 12th of May, 1983 and is a Polish alpine and high-altitude climber.

At the age of 17, he was the youngest person to climb Khan Tengri in alpine-style. He is known for the first winter ascents of the eight-thousanders: Gasherbrum I and Broad Peak. He climbs in the sport style, without oxygen support from the bottle.

Eight-thousanders

On September 30, 2011, together with Artur Hajzer and Tomasz Wolfart he summited Makalu (8463m).

On March 9, 2012, Adam Bielecki with Janusz Gołąb made the first successful winter ascent of Gasherbrum I (8080m), thereby also achieving the highest elevation reached by man in winter in the Karakorum. They climbed the mountain without supplementary oxygen.

On July 31, 2012, he summited K2 (8611m) without use of supplemental oxygen.

On March 5, 2013, he climbed Broad Peak (8051m) together with Maciej Berbeka, Artur Małek and Tomasz Kowalski. The climbers separated before the summit, and while Bielecki and Małek reached the camp on descent, Berbeka and Kowalski went missing and were pronounced dead three days later.

On January 27, 2018, Bielecki, along with Denis Urubko, led a rescue operation on Nanga Parbat to save climbers Elisabeth Revol and Tomasz Mackiewicz, who were stuck on the mountain. Bielecki and Urubko, who had been attempting a winter summit of K2, were brought to the mountain by helicopter and climbed over 1000m through the night to reach Revol. They succeeded in bringing Revol to safety, but, due to the severe weather conditions, were unable to save Mackiewicz.
