Hargisa hut is at a 15 minute’s drive from the Skardu airport. The resort is named after the Hargisa stream, which flows from the Hargisa Glacier in Skardu. Yasmeen Asrar (Managi

ng Director), the first women entrepreneur in Gilgit-Baltistan. The story of Yasmin Asrar is a fairy tale in itself. The place where the hut stands now, was a peace of land near gigantic sand dunes, the scenery though beautiful needed vision and a touch of a woman to transform it into a game changer in the industry. Asrar started construction of the hotel in 2007 and the hotel was opened in 2008. Alone and away from home she had to take care of every single aspect of the construction from design to finishing and it is her determined efforts that the hut today is an excellent combination of modern and ancient design. It did not stop here she ran the hotel all by herself till 2013 when the other team members joined. Because of her efforts the hut is in itself a unique brand not only because it is the first women led enterprise in Gilgit-Baltistan but also because of the standards of unmatched services set by her since the inception of the hotel.
