Emma Schwerin, a 17-year-old student from Choate Rosemary Hall in Connecticut, has made history by becoming the youngest American woman to summit Mount Everest and the youngest woman globally to complete the Seven Summits challenge — climbing the highest peak on each continent.

She achieved this remarkable feat on May 15, 2025, at just 17 years, 2 months, and 24 days old. A true inspiration for the next generation of climbers and adventurers.
