On this day, 13 August in 1995, British mountaineer Alison Hargreaves 🇬🇧 reached the summit of K2 (8611 m)

Reports indicate that an avalanche struck a climbing team on Broad Peak (8,047m) today.

The team, made up of climbers from Nepal, Pakistan, Oman, the USA, China, and other countries, is currently out of communication. Search and rescue efforts are being coordinated, with helicopter support being arranged as conditions allow.

Praying for the safety of all the climbers and hoping for positive news soon. 🤲🏔️
