It was an honor and pleasure to take part in discussion panel during the 1st Forum for Incoming and Domestic Tourism in Warsaw - Direction Poland. Together with Anna Jedrocha Symposium Cracoviense, Andrzej Hulewicz Mazurkas Travel, Joanna Montenarh Travel Projekt DMC and Piotr Laskowski UTC Tour Operator, we discussed the current challenges in the inbound tourism industry, necessary changes that need to be made and available development possibilities.

While we are all waiting for the upcoming Olympics in Paris, we can't forget about the Trisome Games 2024 that were held a month ago. During them, Polish representatives showed that we have really great sportsmen in our country, especially swimmers 🏊.

Trisome Games are Olympics that have taken place since 2002. During this event, people with Down Syndrome are competing in many sports disciplines, showing that sport is for everyone.

This year the competition took place in Antalya, Turkey and Polish representatives brought back home lots of awards! Congratulations, Polish team🎉.

Have you heard about the March of the living? It is an event that happens every year in the beginning of May. During it participents, along with 55 alive Holocaust Survivors, walk the 3km distance from the Auschwitz Gate in the camp Auschwitz I to Auschwitz II - Birkenau.

This year it took place on the 6th of May and it was in memorial of the 80th anniversary of the Hungarian Jewish annihilation. They were the largest group deported to Auschwitz camp (from the end of April to August 1944 it was 430k people, of which 75% were killed).

While choosing to visit Poland at this time, please remeber that Access to the museum is very limited and most of the Tours to Auschwitz won't be able to happen.

On the 1st of May, we were celebrating 20 years in EU! It is 20 years of development, new opportunities, exchanges of experience - 20 years on the road to a better future for us all.
It's also 20 years of easier travelling to and outside of our country 🎉 .

We are so happy to officially announce that we have became part of the Kraków tourism alliance. This membership gives us the possibility to have an actual influence on tourism in our beautiful city. We can't wait to see what the future will bring ❤️.

For the first time, Simply Poland DMC took part in the RDA Group Travel Expo in Köln🕍. For the first time, Anna gave a lecture about Krakow in front of a larger audience, and I met Steffen Möller. Who remembers him? Thank you for your cooperation. Greetings to my colleagues from the Polish Stand, always have fun with you 🤩

When we first opened our office, no one imagined that we would have to face, among other things, a pandemic or a war in our eastern neighbors.
These situations have certainly taught us humility, but also a great lesson in planning and management.

When developing a company, it is important to us that every move we make has a positive impact on us and the world around us.

With a planned strategy, we are able to grow stronger 💪 despite any adversity.

Not far away from one of the Polish Miracles (Elbląg Channel), you can find a Polish depression, which is sometimes called the "small Netherlands" (not only because of it's similarity to depressions, but also because the Dutch used to live there!)

It is a beautiful 🌳 area, that is actually below sea level (the lowest part is 1.8 m below!) and is called Żuławy Wiślane. Apart from breathtaking views, that you will not see in many other locations in the world, you can also discover there are hundreds of year old churches⛪, historical Dutch homesteads, forgotten Mennonites graveyards, as well as old Dutch villages like Drewnica, Tujsk and Żuławki.

Who knew this area even existed❓Maybe it would be a good call to add it to your itinerary.

One of the pillars of sustainable tourism for businesses is social justice. How do we fullfill this point❓

We always care about our employees 🫂. We understand the work-life balance and we always make sure that no one has to take work home with them. It's important for us to give our workers full-time contracts, that gives them the right to paid sick leave, paid holidays, etc.

But that's not everything. Apart from that, we also support local fundraisers and every year a decent % of our income is going towards that.

We treat our partners🤝 with respect of their values and work. We always make sure that they are notified in advance of any information relating to groups.

Of course being on the way to a sustainable tourism business is a long path, buy we are constantly learning how to further impact society in a positive way.

We’ve mentioned before about the 4 pillars of sustainable tourism in business.

The first of them is environmental protection. How have we implemented it in our work 👇?

The biggest change came 3 years ago, when we resigned from the office. As a small team we didn’t need it. Instead of that every week we make sure to meet with each other in one of the coworking places. That is a great way to save energy, cleaning products and reduce the amount of rubbish 🗑️.

All of us use reusable water bottles, saving plastic and paper. We try our best to avoid ordering takeaways, and if we do, we choose our own reusable containers, like jars 🫙.

We do not print leaflets and for gifts, we always choose eco-friendly products that are sure to find a place in everyone's homes/lives.
