Are you proud of your national colours?
Today we are celebrating Polish National Flag Day in Poland!
Horizontal bicolour of white and red, officially adopted in 1919, accompanies Poles during times of war and times of peace, official ceremonies and sport game. Flying polish flag that represents purity and our national courage and fortitude is public display of patriotism and love of country.

Have you had your Easter Basket prepared yet?

You still have some time to dye your Easter Eggs and catch the Easter Bunny!

If you are spending Easter time in our city, you cannot miss traditional church fair in Cracow called Emaus.

That local and folk festival, which takes its name from biblical town, takes place by the Norbertanek Monastery on Easter Monday.

You can join festive mass and procession, admire traditional kermesse and try fair treats.

The symbols of this celebration are wooden sculptures of jewish people playing instruments or reading Tora.

Do you know that Nativity Scenes are inscribed on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity? 😄👍 The custom of building Christmas Cribs in Cracow dates back to the XIXth century. Those richly decorated and colorful constructions, which can reach up 2 metres, are inspired by Cracow's architecture: St. Mary's Basilica, Sukiennice, Wawel Castle or Barbican. ⛪🏰 The most beautiful examples of them can be found in many nooks of our city 🔍, e.g: Szczepanski Square. If you have time, drop in Celestat (16 Lubicz St.) where you can admire the The Kraków Nativity Scene Contest Exhibition. 😉

Have you already seen characteristic red hearts ❤❤❤ on the streets of our city? It is 'The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity' 😇, the biggest charity organization in Poland, which is playing for the 27th time in our whole country and everywhere where is Polish activity. 📣🎶🎵🎈🎆
Traditionally, it raises money for specific medical objective 🏥🚑 - this year to buy modern equipment for specialist children’s hospitals in Poland. 👶👦👧🤗
If you would like to support GOCC, just drop some money into Collection Boxes, when you notice volunteers. Also you can donate money on their website (wosp.org.pl) or take part in the bidding. 😊

Winter is here!❄️❄️Don't forget about warm clothes, specially for your tour to Auschwitz. 🧣🧤Most of the visit is outside! Sneakers and autumn clothes are not enough. We recommend wearing many layers and even two pairs of socks 🧦 Remember that 70% of our body heat we are loosing through our head - wear something on it! 🧢
