The Old Town is signed on the UNESCO list. In fact it is rebuilt after II World War, when over 95 % of the city was completely ruined.
All the people helped with the reconstruction of our capital. It was during the communism time, so the look is partly in this style.
Mostly the reconstruction is inspired by the paintings of Bernardo Bellotto - Canaletto, the Italian painter of Venice and Warsaw.
Meet the high skyscrapers and charming manor houses in one place.
In spite of it is a big city, you can find many green areas here.

What to see in Warsaw?

Built in the Baroque-style in the 17th century. Also known as the Palace of the Republic. It was in its time the seat of the Supreme Court. Today it houses the National Library. The Krasiński Garden is a fine example of municipal park.
