When the sun is blazing and the city streets are warm, there’s nothing quite like a chilled shot of *Malinówka* — Poland’s beloved raspberry vodka — to refresh you.

Pronounced *Mah-leen-oof-ka*, this bright, fruity vodka is light, sweet, and a little tart, making it an easy sipper even in the heat. You can find decent versions from commercial brands, but summer is the time to hunt down something special — look for bottles from small-batch producers, or ask in a good restaurant if they make their own. Many do, and they’ll proudly serve it ice-cold after your meal.

**Summer twist:** If you’re feeling playful, try a “Mad Dog” — a chilled shot of vodka with a dash of raspberry syrup that sinks to the bottom, creating a mini Polish flag. A drop of Tabasco adds a fiery kick, while the raspberry keeps it refreshing.
