Although the largest Castle of the Teutonic Knights is the most famous one in Malbork, the Gniew Castle is the best-preserved Teutonic castle. This immense fortress was erected at the turn of the 13th century and is the mightiest stronghold of the Teutonic Order on the left bank of the Vistula River. It was initially the seat of the Teutonic commanders, but in 1464 it came under Polish rule and served as the Governor’s residence. Over the centuries, the castle was expanded and rebuilt many times, especially in the 19th century when it was turned into a prison and a granary. Despite the build­ing was de­stroyed by a fire in 1921, the 2-meter-thick walls and the major structural survived, and it was later restored.

Today the castle is open to the public and visitors can explore halls, chapels, and ancient torture chambers to experience the medieval times of knights and kings. Moreover, numerous battleground stagings, knightly tour­na­ments and his­tor­i­cal per­for­mances are or­ga­nized at the cas­tle, making it a hotspot for showcasing medieval culture in Poland.

We find an adorable heart-shaped forest grove for you❤️! The cute cluster of trees is located in the village of Skarszyn about 20 km north-east of Wrocław, aptly described as the ‘Love Grove’. According to local people, the grove was not formed by people who managed to intentionally change its shape into a heart, for on the map in 1933 it looks more like a 3-point star than a heart. However, you'll find it was the shape of a heart on the map in 1984.

Since photographer Krzeszowski showed many stunning photos of the ‘Love Grove’, today it has become a hotspot for photographers, tourists and romantics. If you want to take a look at this lovely heart-shaped forest grove, just take your camera away from the bustling city and travel to the picturesque polish village to gets some great shots.😉 📸

☁️🚶‍♀️☁️If you want to experience walking through the clouds, be sure to visit the spa town of Świeradów-Zdrój where there is an 850 meters long Sky Walk footbridge that will take you to a height of 62 meters above the ground! From the top, you'll see sweeping views across this romantic town and the natural beauty of the border area. Moreover, you can step out onto a glass platform or rest on a drop-shaped net to experience an adrenaline rush. After the sunset, it's also a perfect spot to enjoy the starry night and immerse yourself in the tender feelings of night.

In addition to the charming views of the footbridge's surroundings, the town itself offers many beautiful attractions. Situated in the Sudety Mountains, Świeradów-Zdrój is a popular spa town in south-western Poland near the border with the Czech Republic famous for its healing mineral waters, a pleasant climate and beautiful scenery.

In the heart of Swieradow-Zdroj, there is a majestic historic Spa House where you can taste the mineral waters. It features a 46-meter-high clock tower and an elegant 80-meter-long larch walking hall made completely out of wood, which is the superb craftsmanship that does not exist anymore. The beautiful and distinctive buildings were built in the 18th and mid-19th centuries and well preserved, it’s really worth a visit even today.

Apart from being a top health resort in Poland, Świeradów-Zdrój is a tourist and holiday center that offers beautiful natural surroundings that attract visitors who prefer to explore its natural beauty on foot or two wheels. In the winter, Swieradow-Zdroj is also known for its excellent skiing locations where there are two prepared toboggan runs, six ski-lifts as well as the year-round gondola to the top of Stog Izerski. ⛷️🏂
