Quite a few people have contacted me about my EDT to Dublin on Friday, so here goes... 😊🍀
Left EMA at 7:30am and flew to Dublin for just £43 return 💷🙌 Travelling with only a small bag was surprisingly freeing! 🎒😂
It was actually really straightforward too. From check-in to security, everything was fairly quick and easy at both airports. In fact, the longest queue of the whole day was about 15 minutes at Dublin Airport security on the way home! 😲👌
First stop: the Guinness Storehouse 🍺. The tour was brilliant, and as the girls could tell from the look on my face, Guinness is definitely not my favourite tipple! 🍺😂 I gave it a go, but I think I’ll stick to what I know! 🤣
The views from the Gravity Bar were incredible 😍🌆. Then we took a horse and cart to Temple Bar 🐴 (top tip: agree the price first! 💸😂), had lunch at Merchant’s Arch 🍔, wandered around Grafton Street and Trinity College, and finished with ice cream in St Stephen’s Green 🍦🌳☀️.
Honestly, sitting in the park with an ice cream, people-watching and chatting in the sunshine was one of my favourite parts of the day ❤️😊
One final drink 🍹, then back to the airport for the 6:45pm flight home. After 15,000+ steps 👣😴, I was exhausted but already planning the next EDT!
All in all, the day cost around £120 including flights, attractions, food and drinks 💰✈️🍔🍺. When you think a night out can easily cost more than that these days, it felt like incredible value for a full day exploring another country! 🌍❤️
Would I do it again? Absolutely! 💯✈️
Next time I’d probably do a hop-on hop-off bus tour to see even more of the city and maybe book a slightly later flight home.
