Cataño, Puerto Rico is truly a land of possibilities. Sadly, it hasn’t lived-up to many of them. The town enjoys a privileged location across San Juan Bay from Old San Juan, the second oldest city in the Western Hemisphere. This alone should bring plenty of tourists to this tiny town.

The place is beautiful. Don’t get me wrong. And there’s plenty to see and do on this side of San Juan Bay. But there are so many untapped possibilities that it's simply mind boggling.

On this trip we picked possibly one of the sunniest days of the year to visit Cataño. The UV index was through the roof. But we were able to capture some of the most glorious footage of the bay that I’ve ever seen. Enjoy.

I couldn’t believe it when I realized that 50 years had passed since I set foot in the town of Bayamón. It’s not that I hadn’t visited the municipality, of course I had, but the center of town itself.

The I suddenly realized the effects that shopping centers have had on small towns throughout Puerto Rico. I mean, we talk about it. Sure. But we never visit our towns.

Well, that’s what we’re out to do. One by one, all 78. And this time we spent a whole day in the town of Bayamón. We found a charming town that’s well kept, clean, and beautiful. But there was one thing missing. Can you guess what it was?

Aguas Buenas is a small town, south of Guaynabo and northwest of Caguas, that has great potential if only the township would put a little more effort into tourism. As it stands now, you can stop there on your way to Caguas, Guaynabo or even Cayey.

I always try to be nice when I produce these videos so let’s just say that our trip there was “uneventful”. However, I’ve done my best to show you the things that I did like about this town.

Our quest to visit every single town in Puerto Rico continues. So far we’ve dropped by Carolina, Trujillo Alto and Gurabo; and this week we stopped by the town of Caguas “centro y corazón. de Puerto Rico”; center and heart of Puerto Rico, as they like to call themselves.

For many people Gurabo is one of those towns that you pass on the way to somewhere else. Others go there to climb the famous “steps” and that’s it. Boy are they both wrong!!!

Zoraida and I recently visited Gurabo for an entire day and it was a delightful. Here’s a short video detailing our adventure.

In this second installment of the series “5 Must-See Places” we visit the small town of Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico, just south of San Juan. Trujillo Alto is one of those sleepy towns that have less than a dozen streets but are heaping with places to see and culture to enjoy.

In this 16-minute video I explore Carolina, Puerto Rico’s 4th largest town. “San Fernando de la Carolina”, as the town is actually named, is located on Puerto Rico's north coast, about 12 miles east of Old San Juan. It’s the fourth largest city on the Island and has a total area of around 48 square miles.

In this video I went a little bit overboard and discussed 6 attractions instead of 5.
