One of the most spectacular sights on a night trip in Caribbean waters is to witness hundreds of tiny star-like bioluminescent plankton scintillating like a starry sky as you move through the dark water. Wave your paddle through th

e water in front of you, and be mesmerized by the tiny glowing specs of plankton or Dinoflagellates which are tiny unicellular marine plankton also known as fire plants. Fajardo’s bioluminescent bay is one of few scattered around Puerto Rico – and one of the last that remain on the planet! Experience this rare phenomenon of nature as you glide through the tranquil “Laguna Grande” surrounded by mangroves and teeming with sea life above and below the still water. Entering the “Laguna Grande” is a mind-altering experience! Tour Duration: 2 hours – Sunset Session 5:30pm to 7:30pm / Evening Session 7:30pm to 9:30pm
Days of Operation: Mondays thru Saturdays
Summer check in time:
Sunset Session: 5:30 pm - 6:00 pm
Evening Session: 7:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Winter check in time:
Sunset Session: 5:00 pm - 5:30 pm
Evening Session: 7:00 pm - 7:30pm
Tour Distance: 1 mile each way
Ages: All family members welcome / physically fit to handle a kayak with paddles (children 5 yrs+)
Location: Las Croabas beach, Fajardo, Puerto Rico
Cost per person*: $48 p/p plus taxes
Max Weight: For a two adults kayaks 575 pounds.
