This past Saturday, I took the road less traveled in search of Puerto Rico’s hidden gastronomic gems.

📍 Utuado — incredible pastelillos de carne, relleno de papa, and an alcapurria de plátano worth the drive alone. 🤌🏽

📍 Lares — authentic jíbaro flavors elevated beautifully: baked pork tenderloin with coriander sauce and bacon-wrapped chicken stuffed with cassava.

And the grand finale? An unforgettable banana bread cake topped with vanilla ice cream and caramel. 🍌🍨✨ Absolutely next level.

Mountain roads. Unexpected stops. Incredible flavors.
