🪸🤓Esta semana, el equipo de buceo de Black Beard Sports tuvo la oportunidad de capacitarse, en colaboración con Vieques Conservation and Historical Trust (VCHT) y Crystal Clear Vieques, en la identificación de especies de coral y enfermedades, y la recopilación de datos.

La capacitación, impartida por el Equipo de Respuesta a Emergencias de Arrecife (EREA) y el Departamento de Recursos Naturales y Ambientales (DNRA), se centró en la identificación de enfermedades de los corales y el establecimiento de protocolos de respuesta a emergencias para proteger mejor nuestros arrecifes.

Proteger nuestro océano no es solo parte de lo que hacemos, es parte de nuestra esencia. Nos enorgullece seguir aprendiendo, creciendo y trabajando juntos para salvaguardar los ecosistemas marinos de Vieques para las generaciones futuras.

🪸🤓This week, the Black Beard Sports dive team had the opportunity to train in partnership with the Vieques Conservation & Historical Trust (VCHT) and Crystal Clear Vieques in coral species and disease identification and data collection.

The training, led by Equipo de Respuesta a Emergencias de Arrecife (EREA) and the Department of Natural and Environmental Resources (DNRA), focused on identifying coral diseases and establishing emergency response protocols to better protect our reefs.

Protecting our ocean isn’t just part of what we do — it’s who we are. We’re proud to continue learning, growing, and working together to safeguard Vieques’ marine ecosystems for future generations.
