On August 15, the Western Church celebrates the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, while the Eastern Orthodox Church celebrates the Dormition of the Virgin Mary on August 28, following the Julian calendar.

Both celebrations are marked with prayer, hymns, church services, and beautiful processions honoring the Mother of God. 🕊️✝️
