✨ Because we are so much more than just wine tours, we truly believe we can make anything happen when our guests trust us with their special moments. ✨

This week, we had the absolute honor of helping create a truly unforgettable surprise for a beautiful couple celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary ❤️

Coming all the way from Canada, they spent this incredibly special day in Portugal, travelling from the Algarve to Évora, where they were welcomed at the beautiful with the most emotional surprise.

As they arrived, the incredibly talented Samuel welcomed them with a live cello performance of “We’ve Only Just Begun” by The Carpenters 🎻✨They’re song 👰🤵‍♂️💍💜 filled with meaning, memories, and emotion!

But the true cherry on top? Their son secretly flew all the way from Canada just to be there with them for this milestone moment. The surprise, the tears, the emotions… honestly, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room.

Watching this happen in real time was something incredibly special for all of us, and we feel deeply grateful to have been trusted to help create a memory that will stay forever in everyone’s hearts ❤️

A huge thank you to Samuel for the breathtaking cello performance, and to the amazing team at Cicioso Hotel who went above and beyond to make every detail perfect.

And of course, congratulations to this beautiful couple on 50 years of love, partnership, and memories together 🥂✨

There is so much more to the Alentejo than wine… and olive oil is definitely one of our greatest treasures! 🫒✨

We absolutely love our olive oil experiences because, even outside the harvest season, there is still so much to discover and learn. Visiting a working olive mill, understanding the entire production process, seeing how olives become one of the most iconic products of our region, and finishing with a professional olive oil tasting is truly a unique and authentic experience. The aromas, textures, flavours and complexity often surprise our guests in the best possible way! 🌿🫒

Adding to this beautiful day, we had the pleasure of welcoming another Portuguese fellow on board! 🇵🇹❤️ Ana’s parents were both born and raised in Portugal before emigrating to Brazil, where Ana was born, and later the family moved to the USA 🇧🇷🇺🇸

Despite living abroad, Ana carries Portugal with her — the food, traditions, expressions, culture and that warm Portuguese spirit were all there throughout the day. It was wonderful sharing stories, memories and creating new ones together! ✨

Together with Tony, they were both incredibly passionate and curious about everything they learned during the experience, making the day even more special. Guests like this remind us why we love what we do! 🍷🫒

And of course, a very special thank you to and especially to João Maria, who always welcomes everyone with such warmth and hospitality ❤️ The amazing meals he prepares pair perfectly with the beautiful wines, creating unforgettable moments around the table 🍷🍽️

✨ Some guests leave a very special mark on us… and Terri was definitely one of them. 🇵🇹🇺🇸🍷

We recently had the pleasure of hosting Terri on a private solo traveller wine tour through the beautiful Alentejo, and what an incredible day it was! ✨

At Alentejo Viti Tours, we always say that solo travellers are more than welcome — and experiences like this remind us exactly why we love what we do so much. 🤍

Terri came to Portugal from the USA, carrying with her a very emotional connection to Portuguese heritage. Her grandparents emigrated from the Azores to the United States when her mother was only 12 years old, and now Terri is on her own journey to reconnect with those roots and pursue Portuguese citizenship. 🇵🇹

Throughout the day, it was beautiful to hear her memories of Portuguese words she grew up hearing at home, traditional foods, family habits, stories, and customs that remained alive across generations, even thousands of miles away. ✨

Between amazing wines, stunning landscapes, authentic wineries, and long conversations about culture, family, traditions, and identity, this became so much more than just a wine tour — it became a truly meaningful cultural experience. 🍇🌿

Day one began with a private transfer to Évora with Alentejo Viti Tours, including a special stop at São José de Peramanca for a visit and wine tasting 🍇

One of the highlights was stepping inside the beautiful family chapel of this historic estate — a chapel dating back centuries and still preserved by the very same family today ⛪✨
A truly authentic glimpse into the soul and history of the Alentejo.

The next day, we headed south for a full Vidigueira experience at and 🍷☀️

Exceptional wines, incredible food, endless conversations and that unique intimacy that only private tours can offer 🤍
More than simply visiting wineries, it becomes a way of truly connecting with the region — its culture, traditions, people, stories and flavours.

This experience was also a perfect example of what a truly tailor-made program should be ✨
Together with the client, we carefully discussed every possibility, every winery and every detail until reaching the final itinerary. These 5 amazing couples from Brazil, all longtime friends, joined us for a full day exploring the heart of the Alentejo and what a day it was! 🇧🇷❤️🇵🇹

From the very first stop, the conversations flowed as easily as the wine 🍇
We laughed SO much I literally cried tears of laughter 😂 and by the end of the day we had enough photos for an entire photo album 📸
