Some days are more than a w**e tour. They become a celebration. 🍷✨
After months of planning, it was finally time to welcome this wonderful group to the Alentejo for a very special celebration — the 70th of Jeanine and Beverly 🥂
From the w**es and food to the setting, the little details and all the moments in between, this was a completely tailor-made experience, carefully planned from beginning to end.

Today’s tour was a little different… and very special. 🫒💚

Today I got to take my own family on one of our Olive Oil Tours — and, for once, my three little Viti Tours helpers came along too! 😍 All three wearing their matching Alentejo Viti Tours shirts, ready for a day in the Alentejo with Mum.

We made it a proper family affair: my mother, my brother and sister-in-law, and their two children, who live in Abu Dhabi and are spending their holidays here in Portugal. Three generations, five children, and a perfect excuse to experience the Alentejo together. 🇵🇹🌿

And it reminded me of something I often tell our guests: our tours really are family friendly.

Olive oil is such a wonderful way to introduce children to the Alentejo. Seeing where olives grow, discovering how they become olive oil, tasting, smelling, asking questions… there is so much for them to experience, without it ever feeling like a “grown-ups only” activity.

And when the adults can enjoy themselves while the children are also curious, entertained and part of the experience — that’s when a family day really works. ❤️

Today I wasn’t just your Alentejo Viti Tours guide. I was a daughter, a sister, an aunt and, most importantly, a mum showing my children a little more of the land, traditions and flavours that I get to share with people from all over the world every day.

And yes… seeing my three kids in their matching Viti Tours shirts was definitely a proud-mum moment! 🥰🫒

There’s something extra special about exploring the Alentejo with the people you love — and this wonderful group of seven family members and friends from Spain 🇪🇸 was the perfect example!

A day filled with laughter, great conversations, beautiful landscapes and, of course, fantastic Alentejo w**es. 🌿🍇🥂

Our destination was Herdade das Servas, where the group had the chance to discover the estate, learn more about the w**emaking traditions of our region, taste some beautiful w**es and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere that makes a day in the Alentejo so special. 🍷☀️

At first glance, you see a bunch of grapes. But there’s much more hidden within it.

🍇 The grapes represent where every great w**e begins – in the vineyard. They symbolize the journey from the vine to the bottle, celebrating the passion, dedication, and craftsmanship behind every glass of Portuguese w**e.

🍷 If you look closely, you’ll notice that the central shape forms a w**e bottle, representing the final result of that journey: a bottle filled with the unique character of the Alentejo.

🇵🇹🍷 What a truly unforgettable day exploring the heart of Alentejo with a wonderful couple from Canada! 🇨🇦❤️

Our journey began at a traditional cork factory, where we discovered one of Portugal’s most iconic industries and learned how this incredible natural material is harvested and transformed with care and sustainability. 🌳✨

From there, we headed to Herdade das Servas for a fascinating w**ery visit, exceptional w**e tasting, and one of the most memorable lunches imaginable. 🍽️🍷

The menu was simply outstanding:
✨ Wild boar croquettes with truffle mayonnaise
🥩 Slow-cooked veal cheeks with silky celery and potato purée
🍊 An unforgettable water pudding with refreshing tangerine sorbet

The afternoon took us to Tiago Cabaço W**ery , where we enjoyed another wonderful guided visit followed by a tasting of five beautiful w**es, each expressing the character and diversity of the Alentejo terroir. 🍇🍷

The highlight of the day? Hearing our guests tell us that this was the best w**e tour they have ever experienced—and coming from seasoned w**e lovers who have explored w**eries across Europe and Canada, that compliment means the world to us. ❤️

🍷✨ One of the things we love most about what we do is that no two tours are ever the same.

This private tour was the perfect example of what a truly tailor-made experience looks like. ❤️

Before heading to Mainova W**ery, we made a quick stop at a traditional cork factory, learning about one of Portugal’s most iconic industries 🌳, and then visited the beautiful castle of Évora Monte 🏰, with its breathtaking views and fascinating history.

From there, we continued to Mainova W**ery 🍇, where our guests enjoyed an incredible estate, outstanding w**es, delicious food, and the peaceful atmosphere that makes this place so special.

But after lunch, the day took an unexpected turn… and those are often the moments that become the highlights.

Our guest mentioned she would love to see the charming village of Arraiolos, so off we went! Suddenly, we found ourselves strolling through its historic streets, discovering the centuries-old tradition of handwoven tapestries and learning about an incredible craft that has been passed down through generations. 🧶✨ And also visiting the castle 🏰

That’s the beauty of bespoke travel. Sometimes the best memories are the ones that weren’t part of the original plan.
