When you go out for a bimble round on a Sunday afternoon but end up doing close to a 100km doing a pre scouting trip to the intended scouting ride next week.
Unfortunately I still have no bloody clue where I intend to ride 😆

Even though I wear glasses, I didn't see that one coming.

I've often thought about tie-ing in together a bit of gravel tracks and some amazing twisty small roads to make a tour and today it turns out, was the day it happened.

My client today has a birthday and wanted to do something a bit different. Hence he asked for my guiding services and I proposed a route that, in his words was "just bloody brilliant".

He's a road or race track rider, not a dirtbike or off-road rider at all. However I managed to make a stunning fun route perfect to his ability and experience. A few stops for views and coffee on the way and a bit of mud laning made us ready for lunch.
Even though we're both quite big lads, there was zero chance of us eating it all.

It was a great day.

My first ever road bike orientated tour. Of course I had to include some offroady bits. Approx 70%road 30% gravel tracks. To be fair, it's been a bloody great day.

Algarve Trailriding Tour's - My own take on providing a package of:- guiding, training, accommodation, with a few Dad (crap) jokes thrown into the mix. 😁

Not sure what to expect from the accommodation ? Worried it might be a mattress on the floor type thing. Have a look at this review :-

It's 10 years ago this September that I opened the garage doors for the first ever guided group bike tour.

I really miss it. However after years of working long hours and dealing with the fall out from covid I'm pretty sure I'll just continue to offer guiding or instructing to riders on their own bikes only. No plan to start buying bikes again.

Maybe I'm feeling nostalgic as today it's rained and that means that the heat and severity of high summer is starting to pass and we're being given the notice that September is round the corner and riding dirtbikes or ADV bikes will once again be possible.

I've already spoken with my buddy who will accompany me on a scouting tour but I'm looking to get a BIg Bike ADV Bike Tour planned for late Sept/early Oct.

Another day with the intention of getting riders together, to make new friends, shoot the s**t, rib one another and to thoroughly enjoy a day out in the company of cool people that share the same passion.

Fancy it ? Any kind of bike welcome as long as it's legal and you are as well.

Can it really get much better ?
Ocean on one side, forest and tracks on the other.
Algarve Trailriding Tours is perfectly positioned geographically to mean this very special corner of the World just lends itself to being a riders paradise for holidaying.
Let's see. You can squeeze your bod into a neoprene wetsuit and hang 10 with the local surf dudes and dudettes or jump in a super fast go-kart and scream your way round the biggest out door go-kart track in Europe or jump on your bike and choose a plethora of wonderful winding roads or tell me, Anton I want something more in which case we can get offroad, either gravel tracks or something a bit more serious for your enjoyment.

Our properties are just a few minutes ride or walk from the Ocean, close enough to the forest to be offroad in one or two minutes, added to which it's Portugal folks, sunshine and warm temperatures.

Both our properties are SUPERHOST, really well appointed and very comfortable. The guide is bit of a miserable old goat until he's had his morning cuppa tea but thereafter he'll look after you properly.
