🇵🇹 Já alguma vez visitaste um anfiteatro natural? Conhece o Wilpena Pound no sul da Austrália. Esta maravilha geológica tem uma forma sinclinal, f**a no centro do Parque Nacional Ikara Flinders Ranges a 430km a norte de Adelaide e é conhecida pela sua beleza natural, relações com aborígenes e fantásticas caminhadas.

O povo local Adnyamathanha refere-se ao Pound como "Ikara", que signif**a "local de encontro". Eles acreditam que os picos mais altos do Pound eram as cabeças de duas serpentes 🐍 que chegaram para devorar as pessoas mas que comeram tanto que já não se conseguiam mexer. Então viraram pedra! 😆

🇬🇧 Have you ever visited a natural amphitheater? Meet the Wilpena Pound in South Australia. This geological wonder has a syncline shape, is located in the center of the Ikara Flinders Ranges National Park 430km north of Adelaide and is known for its natural beauty, aborigines ties and amazing walks.

The local people Adnyamathanha refer to Pound as "Ikara", which means "meeting place". They believe that the highest peaks of the Pound were the heads of two snakes 🐍 who arrived to devour people but who ate so much that they could no longer move so they turned into stone! 😆

🇵🇹 A ℂ𝕒𝕤𝕔𝕒𝕥𝕒 𝕕𝕒 ℙ𝕖𝕕𝕣𝕒 𝕕𝕒 𝔽𝕖𝕣𝕚𝕕𝕒, em Penela, surgiu-me no caminho de regresso a casa como uma excelente oportunidade para ver e mergulhar numa cascata pela primeira vez 🏞
Colocando o destino no Google Maps, fui dar ao Miradouro por onde se inicia um dos caminhos. Mais tarde, descobri que o caminho pelo Parque de Merendas (parte de baixo da cascata) é o mais acessível.
Após 20 min a descer rochas, por um trilho bem íngreme, alguns arranhões, ténis arruinados e com algumas escapadelas de pé que me deram mini ataques cardíacos, a paisagem final compensou tudo isso.
Acabei por dar o merecido mergulho e limpar a alma com a calma daquele mini paraíso.
É realmente um lugar incrível onde só vai quem realmente adora estar em harmonia com a Natureza.

🇬🇧 The ℙ𝕖𝕕𝕣𝕒 𝕕𝕒 𝔽𝕖𝕣𝕚𝕕𝕒 𝕎𝕒𝕥𝕖𝕣𝕗𝕒𝕝𝕝, in Penela, Portugal, came to me on the way home as an excellent opportunity to see and dive in a waterfall for the first time 🏞
Searching the destination on Google Maps, it led me to the viewpoint where one of the paths begins. Later, I discovered that the path through the Picnic Park (bottom of the waterfall) is the most accessible.
After 20 min descending rocks, along a very steep trail, some scratches, ruined sneakers and with a few "slipped feet" that gave me mini heart attacks, the final landscape made up for all that.
I ended up taking the well-deserved dive and cleaning my soul with the calm of that mini paradise.
It is truly an incredible place where only those who really love being in harmony with Nature go.

🇵🇹Na Nova Zelândia, os locais surpreendentes são definitivamente imensos. Mas hoje trago-vos um que me entusiasmou bastante pela sua peculiaridade interessante. As Cavernas de Waitomo, ou Glowworm, localizadas na ilha norte do país, não são apenas daquelas típicas cavernas com salões repletos de estalactites e estalagmites. As atrações, neste caso, são os insetos 𝘈𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘯𝘰𝘤𝘢𝘮𝘱𝘢 𝘭𝘶𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘰𝘴𝘢. As larvas desta espécie emitem uma luz para atrair as presas para os seus fios de seda suspensos nas paredes e teto das cavernas, levando-as a pensar que se trata de uma saída para o exterior, o que dá o efeito de céu estrelado.
Há cavernas com glowworms noutros lugares da Nova Zelândia e as larvas estão presentes também em florestas a céu aberto. À beira das estradas é possível ver placas que indicam a presença dessas florestas e o acesso é muitas vezes gratuito. Nestes locais, é claro que a visita deve ser feita à noite e essa é uma das vantagens das cavernas: o fenómeno pode ser observado também durante o dia.

🇬🇧 In New Zealand, the surprising places are definitely a lot. But today I bring you one that excited me a lot for its interesting peculiarity. The Waitomo Caves, or Glowworm Caves, located in the north island of the country, are not just those typical caverns with halls full of stalactites and stalagmites. The attractions, in this case, are the 𝘈𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘯𝘰𝘤𝘢𝘮𝘱𝘢 𝘭𝘶𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘰𝘴𝘢 insects. The worms of this species emit a light to attract prey to their silk threads suspended on the walls and ceiling of the caves, leading them to think that it is an exit to the outside, which gives the effect of a starry sky.
There are caves with glowworms in other places in New Zealand and the worms are also present in open forests. At the side of the roads you can see signs indicating the presence of these forests and access is often free. In these places, it is clear that the visit must be made at night and this is one of the advantages of the caves: the phenomenon can also be observed during the day.

Mais um hotel incrível que vos dou a conhecer hoje é o Hotel Montaña Magica, no Chile. Daqueles hotéis que realmente não sabemos se estamos perante uma realidade alternativa ou mesmo um conto de fadas... Construído em formato de vulcão, o hotel é muitas vezes referido como um dos melhores eco-hotéis do mundo e já inspirou a criação de uma personagem de um videojogo. As suas paredes externas são cobertas por pedras vulcânicas e vegetação e tem ainda uma cascata que corre desde o cimo do hotel 🤩. Tem 5 andares, 9 quartos e por dentro é feito de madeira de reflorestamento. O hotel está inserido na Reserva Biológica Huilo Huilo na cidade de Neltume (Chile), no coração da Patagónia. A Reserva conta com mais tipologias de alojamento, indo do luxo ao camping e hostel e há uma série de atividades das quais os hóspedes podem desfrutar. É mesmo um hotel de uma profunda harmonia com a Natureza.

Another incredible hotel that I'm introducing to you today is the Montaña Magica Hotel, in Chile. Those hotels that we don't really know if we are facing an alternative reality or even a fairy tale... Built in the shape of a volcano, the hotel is often referred to as one of the best eco-hotels in the world and has already inspired the creation of a video game character. Its external walls are covered with volcanic stones and vegetation and it also has a waterfall that runs from the top of the hotel 🤩. It has 5 floors, 9 rooms and inside is made of reforestation wood. The hotel is located in the Huilo Huilo Biological Reserve in the city of Neltume (Chile), in the heart of Patagonia. The Reserve has more types of accommodation, ranging from luxury to camping and hostel and there are a number of activities that guests can enjoy. It's indeed a hotel with a deep harmony with nature.
