Looking for a boat tour in Madeira but not sure which one fits you better?🛥️ Miranda takes up to 6 guests for a more private experience, while Gr**go takes up to 12 for a slightly more social day at sea🛥️🌊.

Jardim do Mar is small, like really small, but that’s exactly why I wouldn’t rush it. Park the car, walk down into the village and just explore it on foot. The little streets, the old houses, the ocean right in front of you… it’s such a different side of Madeira⛰️.

Definitely walk all the way down to the seafront, and if you’re exploring the west coast, I’d do Jardim do Mar together with Paul do Mar and Ponta do Pargo. And if you happen to be here later in the afternoon, even better because this part of the island is so good for sunset🌅

The Madeira you see on Google Maps ends at the coastline. The interesting part is what happens after that⛰️🛥️

Out from Calheta, familiar places start looking completely unfamiliar. Roads disappear into the mountains, villages seem impossibly small beneath the cliffs, and you finally see just how abruptly Madeira rises out of the Atlantic🌊.

Then someone spots movement in the water and everyone forgets about the coastline for a minute⛰️🌊

That’s the thing about exploring Madeira by boat: you know where you’re going, but never exactly what you’ll find along the way👀✨🛥️

If Seixal is already on your Madeira list because of the black sand beach, good. But don’t go just for that🏖️🐚

This whole side of the island is worth the drive. You’ve got the mountains basically falling into the ocean, natural pools, waterfalls along the way and that north coast weather that can change the entire view in minutes👀.

Go for the beach, stay around Seixal for a while, and if the clouds show up… honestly, they kind of belong there.
