Traditional way of fishing, in which a group of fishermen in a rowboat throws the nets (trawl-nets), to surround the shoals of fish, pulling them later to the beach, with the aid of oxen.

Along the Cortegaça beach, municipality of Ovar, the fishermen of this art continue to face the pounding of the waves in wooden boats, as in the old times, a fact which has become the main tourist attraction of this area.

From April till October, when about 15 men and women get together, some of which go to the sea, while the others stay ashore to spread out the nets for the following cast, to choose the fish of the previous cast, among other tasks.

The Environmental Park of Buçaquinho, between Esmoriz and Cortegaça, has six lagoons, a garden of aromatic plants, children's playground, 24 hectares of green. An example of sustainability recognized with a prize of the Green Project Awards 2016 in the category of "Sustainable Cities".
