Ride351 was founded in 2013 in partnership with QueluzTur - Travel and Tourism Agency with over 28 years in business, to provide packages, experiences and activities focused on local culture, food, surf, and w**es in Portugal. Planning a trip to Portugal can feel overwhelming. There is so much to see, but it is hard to know what is real and what is just another tourist stop. We are António and Vítor, two lifelong friends with decades of experience exploring our country. In 2013, we started RIDE351 to help travelers discover the real Portugal through local eyes. Since then, we have guided over 570 guests on tailor-made journeys across the mainland, Azores and Madeira. Each trip is shaped by your interests and our local knowledge, from surf beaches to vineyard lunches, quiet villages to island hikes. No big buses. No fixed itineraries. Just honest advice, warm hospitality and unforgettable moments from start to finish. This is not our story. It is yours. Colares DOC w**es, where vines grow in sand soils. On the Atlantic coast near Sintra, vines have been cultivated in deep sandy soils for centuries, creating a w**e tradition unlike almost anywhere else. One of the most fascinating traditions is the ancient use of canes to support and raise the vines and their grapes from the ground, keeping the fruit above the sand during their development while protecting the delicate grapes from the hot and humid soils.

The star red grape is Ramisco, a rare local variety known for producing w**es with remarkable character, while Malvasia de Colares is traditionally used for the white w**es.

What makes Colares even more extraordinary is that its sandy soils helped protect the vines from phylloxera, allowing some vineyards to preserve exceptionally old, ungrafted vines.

The Bairrada w**e region was the first region in Portugal to gain DOC status specifically for its sparkling w**es in 1991, and it remains the country’s most important producer of this style.

A flat coastal region with strong Atlantic influence, abundant rainfall, and mild temperatures. Its soils vary between clay-limestone and sandy areas, creating different w**e styles, and the land is divided into many small plots. The region was one of the first in Portugal to produce sparkling w**es, supported by its cool, humid climate that yields grapes with high acidity and low alcohol.
