Horta Marina slowly disappears into the evening light, the sea gets darker, the sky keeps changing colours… and for a moment, everything feels completely still. ✨

Morro is one of those places.

As we slowly approach these monumental volcanic structures, the sunlight finds its way through every crack, layer and fold in the rock, revealing textures that are easy to miss from land.

Light and shadow move across the cliffs, constantly changing the way they look.

There is something powerful about seeing them from the ocean — so close that you can feel their scale, their strength and the millions of years of geological history written into every surface. 🌋

For a moment, the boat becomes very small.

And Morro becomes absolutely monumental. 💙

Into the volcanic caves of Capelinhos. 🌋🌊✨
There’s something special about entering a sea cave — especially when the ocean leads you inside and the sky is still visible above you. 💙
As we slowly move into the grotto, the light changes with every metre. The volcanic rock surrounds the boat, while the blue of the Atlantic and the sky create a natural window back to the outside world. ☀️
For a moment, everything feels quieter.
The ocean, the rock, the light… and just the calls of terns echoing around.
This is Capelinhos from a different perspective — wild, volcanic, and full of hidden spaces waiting to be explored. 🌋
And yes… sometimes the best views are the ones you find inside the rock. ✨

Some days, the Azores simply show off. 💙☀️

And this was one of those days.

Perfect weather, bright blue skies, crystal-clear water and the dramatic volcanic cliffs of Capelinhos right in front of us. 🌊🌋

With the ocean sparkling in the sunlight and every detail of the coastline standing out, it was one of those boat trips when you keep looking around thinking… it really doesn’t get much better than this. ✨

We never get tired of seeing Capelinhos from the water. Every wave, every shadow and every change of light gives this place a slightly different character.

But on a day like this?

The Atlantic was simply showing its best side. 💙
