What an unforgettable underwater encounter 🤩🌊

Today we had an absolutely incredible sighting of false killer whales ✨ Around 10 individuals stayed close to the boat, with many more spread out across the area. They were relaxed, curious, and highly social, often coming in to bow ride and interact with us.

We could even hear their whistles underwater (sound on 🔊)

A 5⭐️ encounter we won’t forget anytime soon 🤩🐋✨

Every now and then, we get lucky and spot a 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐞 (𝐵𝑎𝑙𝑎𝑒𝑛𝑜𝑝𝑡𝑒𝑟𝑎 𝑎𝑐𝑢𝑡𝑜𝑟𝑜𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑎𝑡𝑎). On rare occasions, they show curiosity toward the boat rather than avoiding it.

Sightings like this remind us why we go out to explore the ocean 🐋 Not just for what we might see, but for those rare, meaningful encounters that stay with us long after we’re back on shore.
