💦 Looking for Level 2 canyoning in Madeira? Ribeira do Cidrão combines bigger rappels, waterfalls and natural pools in the heart of Nun’s Valley.

Located in the dramatic mountains of Curral das Freiras, this canyon steps things up from a beginner experience, with several rappels reaching approximately 16 metres, surrounded by steep volcanic rock and Madeira’s wild mountain scenery. 🧗‍♂️

Level 2 is ideal for active, confident adventurers. Previous canyoning experience is helpful but not strictly required if you’re fit, comfortable with heights and ready for a more challenging experience.

Looking for advanced canyoning in Madeira? Ribeira da Hortelã is a Level 4 canyon designed for highly experienced canyoneers.

Deep in Madeira’s Laurissilva Forest, Ribeira da Hortelã is an exceptionally vertical canyon, descending around 300 metres in elevation over just 500 metres through a succession of large waterfalls. 🧗‍♂️🌊

Even reaching the canyon is part of the challenge, with an approximately 300-metre steep climb before the technical descent begins.
