Today marks exactly 8 years since I officially registered ZUGAdventures in Santa Maria, Sal Island, Cape Verde 🇨🇻 This deeply personal project was born from a desire to share stories, cultures, and scientific knowledge — always with a message of awareness and care for a more sustainable world 🌍
The first 2 years were intense — full days and half days exploring salt flats, observing sharks, snorkeling along the coast, and spending countless hours with sea turtles 🐢 After that wild start, ZUGAdventures took a deep dive and went quieter for a while… but over the last 4–5 years, it has been catching its breath and slowly returning to the surface, stronger and more rooted 🌱
From Cape Verde to São Tomé and Príncipe, and more recently across the triangle islands of the Azores (Faial, Pico and São Jorge), this journey has grown and evolved with me — always close to the ocean, always guided by purpose!
Today ZUGAdventures is not just about ecotourism and wildlife encounters — it’s also about community, regeneration, and connection. From turtle and whale watching, to underwater and nature photography, to agroforestry and traditional cooking workshops in São Tomé — this adventure continues to expand and adapt, grounded in respect for nature and culture.
I’m deeply grateful to everyone who has been part of this journey — whether you joined an experience, hosted me, collaborated, or simply believed in this dream.
