📍 SOMMARØY, NORWAY 🇳🇴
Our final stop… and what a place to finish.
Home to around 300 people, Sommarøy made headlines in 2019 after locals campaigned to become the world’s first time-free community. After living through 69 straight days without a sunset each summer, followed by around 55 days without a sunrise in winter, they argued that clocks didn’t make much sense.
We’ll be arriving in mid-September, when the endless daylight has given way to crisp autumn days and dark Arctic nights—perfect for chasing the Northern Lights.
🏝️ White-sand Arctic beaches
🥾 Coastal walks & mountain views
🌉 Island hopping across scenic bridges
🎣 Crystal-clear fjords & fishing
🔥 Beach house BBQs & fires every night
🌌 Some of the best Northern Lights viewing in Norway
This isn’t the Norway most people picture… and that’s exactly why we’re going.
The perfect place to finish an unforgettable Lapland road trip. 🚐🌌
