🎥 **When your first impression of a holiday home is... to use the front door as a suitcase brake! 😳**

We don't normally share things like this, but we thought this one was worth posting!

This guest later left us one of our lowest review scores, yet this was literally the first thing that happened when they arrived—before they'd even stepped through the front door! 🙈

Thankfully, guests like this are incredibly rare. The vast majority of our wonderful visitors treat our holiday homes with the same care and respect they would their own homes, and we're so grateful for every one of you. ❤️

Running holiday homes means you see the very best in people... and occasionally moments that leave you scratching your head! 🤷‍♀️

From today (2 April) there is a requirement for Europeans (who don’t have a British or Irish passport, are a UK citizen, or have a visa) to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA).

It is important to highlight that the equivalent for UK travellers heading to Europe – the Electronic Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) - isn't due to launch for another 18 months.

ETIAS won't be introduced until after the EU's new Entry/Exit System (EES) is up and running. EES has been pushed back a number of times, but is now due to begin in October 2025, with a phased introduction over a six-month period.

In summary, the only thing to act on now is for European visitors to the UK to apply for an ETA. Nothing will be changing for UK travellers going to Europe this summer.
