Eis que chega o tão aguardado momento do início do XII Festival dos Descobrimentos. Pelas 15h00, a Avenida dos Descobrimentos vai encher-se de vida com o tradicional Cortejo Histórico que vai juntar a comunidade escolar, associações, executivo municipal, figurantes e animadores numa verdadeira festa. Dado o tema desta edição, "A Grande Aventura de Lagos ao Japão", teremos como convidado o Sr. Embaixador do Japão em Portugal, Makoto Ota.

O destino será o recinto do evento (Praça do Infante e Jardim da Constituição), com a cerimónia de abertura a decorrer no Palco da Muralha. Depois é entrar nesta viagem no tempo e...divertir-se 😄 !

Yesterday we walked along the new Meia Praia boardwalk. It's also perfect for running or cycling. I found it an easy and relaxed 3kms walk, starting at the west end of Meia Praia beach and finishing just past Bar Q**m.
The boardwalk ends there, but you can continue walking along the beach for another 2kms towards Ria de Alvor.
Along the way, you’ll find several shaded stops where you can catch your breath or take in the view of the ocean. There are also some restaurants and bars, ideal for a leisurely sea-view lunch or just a quick coffee.
Meia Praia Beach stretches across the Lagos Bay, with a sand extension of around 5 kms, with a magnificent dune system running the length of the beach.
