I thought my walks were going pretty good this year, but what the hell happened this morning? I guess taking a four day break helped, but 18 again tomorrow, maybe it’s just the new normal. Was told at the start of the walk I looked like a herder, might be a good future endeavour for me cause I sure kept control of this big group. Laughs a plenty and my big booming Aussie voice didn’t leave a soul missing out. Another great relatively new enterprise that is gonna keep me and Pais well above water.

What a beauty of a walking tour this morning. My 3rd with Paislee in tow. I can’t deny it’s not easy taking your 4 year old on a two hour walk and her not having your complete attention, but it’s been so rewarding. A w**e tour and a walking tour with dad the last few days has been bloody amazing, you’ve made me so happy Pais. I swear I’m not training you up, but it wouldn’t hurt at all if you followed in dad’s footsteps. **enot ☀️

What an incredible walking tour to start August, I couldn’t find care for Paislee so had to take her along for my two hour walk with just 14 guests. Not the easiest thing I’ve done, but without a doubt one of the most rewarding. You were so much fun Pais, for me and the guests. Stops along the way, two for poos, one for Glitter our new butterfly toy, ice cream and merry go round didn’t hurt one bit. It’s gonna be much more fun taking you on Vagabundo tours alongside dad, it’s pretty annoying for you hearing me talk so much and that’s absolutely fair enough. Thanks Paislee ☀️

A week off for Vagabundo Travel, but who cares when you still manage to take 8 2hr walks with 100 guests. Must’ve been my biggest week ever. A women on one of my walks, asked don’t I get bored saying the same stuff each day. She was an accountant haha, enough said. I wouldn’t be much of a man if I was to complain about my job that does me alright, keeps me pretty fit and had me working a monstrous 16 hours this week. I always give my all on my walks whether it’s 20 people or just 2, I like to think I’ve always been a crowd pleaser of sorts. ☀️

Holy S**t, the sunshine must be back cause this walking and talking man has just got super busy. 19 guests yesterday and plenty more walking with me since February turned back to normality. 215 walks last year, I wonder how many times I can repeat myself this year? It’s always pretty fun though, you never know who you’re gonna meet on one of my walks. Do yourself a favour and try it out for yourself. ☀️ **enot

Up until Saturday my walks have been starting with the gorgeous Presépio de Natal nativity exhibition in the Lagos Cultural Centre. This Sunday’s walk was a treat for the walking man. Starting at 10am meant we got to visit Igreja Sao Sebastiao, one of Lagos’s oldest monuments, first constructed way back in 1325 (so crazy for the Aussie in me). No visit to the church would be complete without checking out the bone chapel around to the right. It’d quite a secret to most of you here in Lagos, if you like knowing about Lagos secrets why not join me for a walk one of these days. My walks from Monday to Saturday always include a visit to the iconic Mercado Municipal de Lagos. The two stalls we visit, treat us to some lovely Portuguese produce, ginger almonds with Maria and Cristiano’s sweet and salty sunflower seeds leave my customers in good spirits. My favourite museum in Lagos the Centro Ciência Viva de Lagos (the science centre). You’ll know how to find it if you come on one of my walks and be encouraged to visit. Bring out your inner child, learn the route the Portuguese discovered from Portugal to Goa in India, morse code, flag signals by boat, there’s even a little submarine you can pilot inside. A little tip for residents, it’s free to visit on Sunday, but well worth €5 during the week. It’s always been a favourite spot for means Paislee on Sunday Funday.
