Another beauty on Wednesday. 7 awesome kanooks and yanks jumping in the beat up Vagavan for a rollicking Wine Not. Going through one of the worst weeks in my 43 years, divorced on Tuesday with no money to pay for my new house. I’m glad that my work makes me happy and always makes my guests happy too. Cause without Vagabundo and my gorgeous Paislee I’d hate to think where I might be. Head up Brod’s, 50% of marriages end up in divorce, why did I ever expect any different. Cause my glass is always half full and even divorced I’m gonna make sure it stays that way. A massive year coming up, bring it on. ☀️

Just when you start thinking you run tours for the oldies you get a nice surprise and get to take 5 gorgeous Dominican Republican girls on a Wine Not day out. Apparently, I’ve got a great personality, let’s hope this personality eventually results in more than just compliments, but I’ll stick to being a patient man. Great to finish the day at Ponta da Piedade for a nice little influencer photo shoot and Volks 50th afterwards didn’t disappoint either. ☀️

Did I turn ‘Best of the West’ back into ‘Wasted on the West Coast’ my crew might’ve been older than me, but we’ve all got saw abs from the laughs enjoyed yesterday. An epic day, over filling the van like old days, I’ve never liked playing by the rules. ☀️

Amazing what this Lagos Influencer was able to do yesterday. Get behind me and I’ll help do it for you too, I’m no longer supporting the Quays and Eddies that turned a blind eye to my support. Ala do Castelo, I’m with you forever. Yesterday turning up for lunch with my Brodie’s Taste of Lagos crew and simply amazing to see 13 of my crew from the mornings walk sat down to lunch at my favourite restaurant in Lagos. The Cataplana is to die for and the Ukrainian service can’t be beaten. The tasting tour wasn’t my best, but tour guides like me can’t pick their guests. Looking forward to my first non five star review, cause those of us in the service business know it’s usually the people, not the tour or establishment that can’t please everyone. ☀️

It’s been a relatively quiet month for Vagabundo, ridiculously busy with my walks, but only my second day trip. About to change with 4 in the next 8 days, thank F**k. Cause in the state I’m in, it’s only work and looking after Pais that can keep my levels right. Today Jess and I were officially divorced, just 31 months after she first put it out there, wonder why my heads been playing tricks on me lately. But life is good, my work has never been better, looking after Paislee half the week is amazing, I’ve found us a new house from June on and my mates here are the best support a man could ask for. Looking forward to Brodie’s Taste again tomorrow and two more Wine not’s this week. ☀️

I missed a tour I took and would like memories of everything I’m doing with Vagabundo this year more than ever. Last week I dropped Paislee at school and managed to take my 18th Brodie’s Taste of Lagos tour. I have another booked for Monday, but when I’m blowing on dandelions I’m wishing this will be the tour I’m remembered for. It’s always a smashing day out and alongside my happy guests I get to eat and drink at all my favourite Lagos restaurants. Son of Sir Lunchalot would be making his father proud and will continue to for a long time to come. ☀️

What a fun surprise today turned out to be. Expecting my usual 50+ year old guests, I was met by 8 young Canadians between 20 and 22, this 43 year old’s still got it. The boys loved my style and brought me back in time. April’s been one hell of a month, my best in 15 years by far, I was surely due a f**k up. Accidentally leaving my picnic bags behind my car as I took off, with wallet inside wasn’t ideal. But after leaving the boys with three bottles of Villa Alvor’s finest racing back to Lagos and finding my bags had been pinched it could’ve ruined a lesser man. My cards we’re cancelled, cops were called and back in the van and I get a happy call to say my bags have been dropped to Iber Lagos, the cash was taken, but a pretty good lesson and one that still allowed me to take my best Wine Not tour for the year. Hopefully the boys reviews keep sending a few young ones my way, cause I can’t help loving reliving my youth.

What a cracking few days, I’d almost forgotten what my old ‘Wasted on the West Coast’ now ‘Best of the West’ tour is. My first one for the year lead to two in 4 days. Nothing will ever beat getting to show Paislee what I do and have her join us for a day out of exploring on Saturday. Putting her to bed on Freedom Day and she even told me how she loves all the places I show her. “I love to show you places, gorgeous Pais and all your faces”. You’re gonna make so many of my guests even happier in the future and getting to hang out with you is the best thing I ever do.

I’ve been a little slack showing what I’ve been up to this week, but two more Wine Not tours and 8 walking tours in 7 days, staying busy has been more important than promoting. It’s been a great change this month switching up Quinta do Frances for Villa Alvor. Rather than just a tasting we now enjoy 3 bottles of their fine wine. I’m even becoming the sommelier myself, continuing to learn more and more about this sexy liquid and the wineries we visit. I can’t wait for next month for my new favourite winery to start hosting moonlight cinema, I think it’s where this newly single man might find his new match. Hopefully I’ll be filling the van for events like this so put Friday the 22nd of May in your diary if cinema and wine float your boat as they do mine.

A Spring sizzler. It’s so nice taking 30 year olds on tour again. Reminding myself of the Vagabundo that I started way back in 2012. Wine Not, I love how much it’s said on our days out. Wine Not, from Wasted on the West Coast to this, but loving my new life. More serious tours for a more serious man, but just as much fun as they’ve ever been. ☀️
