I believe that part of the culture is in food, so while in Portugal taste it! Don’t stay on the safe side! Be adventurous! Pastel de bacalhau?! Sure, but without the cheese, please! Pastel de Nata? Definitely yes! Cheese?! Try the best cheese in the world! I am not kidding! Is Portuguese and it is delicious! Port wine with savoury things?! Sure! Vinho verde just because you are thirsty? Sardines in can? Delicious, and with a little spicy even better! And a bifana?
Enjoy time around a table!

I understand that is more convenient to stay in a bigger hotel with all commodities but doing that you will lose the human part of a smaller hotel. This lady was my “ receptionist “!in this family hotel in the city of Tomar! In the hands of her daughter.
I loved this!

Museum of the royal treasure
Did you know that there is a Gold nugget with 20 kg ?And a “chatelaine” that is the beginning of a little purse for small and personal objects for women, and a bracelet made with human hair?!
All this inside of one of the biggest safes in the world?! Unique hã?!
Visit it next time in Lisboa.

Algarve, is in the south of Portugal and is much more than beach. The gorgeous cliffs are one of the most spectacular things you can see there. These photos were taken in December!

The Escola Portuguesa de Arte Equestre (Portuguese School of Equestrian Art) is a Portuguese institution dedicated to the preservation of the equestrian arts, in the Portuguese tradition. It is one of the "Big Four", the most prestigious classical riding academies in the world.
The school's origins, as an institution, trace to 1726, during the reign of King João V of Portugal.
The primary directives of the Portuguese School of Equestrian Art are the conservation of the Lusitano horse, also known as the Pure Blood Lusitano, and the maintenance of classical Portuguese Baroque horsemanship.
