I’m Alexandra – a travel blogger and consultant, based in Lisbon, Portugal. Hortense translates from Portuguese to hydrangea – this beautiful flower that grows in Portugal, famous for it is the Azores’ island of Faial. Also the hydrangea was part of my wedding flower arrangement which made me fall in love with it. ACCOMMODATION, EAT AT THE BEST RESTAURANTS, AND HAVE AWESOME EXPERIENCES WITHOUT BR

You have the chance to work with a personal travel designer that will fully acknowledge your personality, preferences and budget when planning. I work with a handful of carefully picked partners, but I’m flexible enough to find what’s best for you. I love exploring Portugal, but most of all I’d love to help you have amazing experiences for yourself. My service-centric mind comes from my educational background. I am native Bulgarian speaker, I also speak fluent English, and Portuguese, and have conversational German and French knowledge. Fukuoka by night: a symphony of lights, flavors, and pure inspiration. 🏮✨ Tonight, my husband and I took a night stroll through the city, starting with the cutest monster shaved ice you’ve ever seen (art in edible form! 🍧), watching the mesmerizing light fountains, and walking along the riverbank. Though the famous riverfront Yatai food stalls were packed, we stumbled upon an incredible riverfront restaurant for some local grilled beef. The warmth of the service and the richness of the food made it an unforgettable meal! 🥩 There’s something so poetic about how this city glows after dark. The textures of the river, the reflections of the neon lights, and the peaceful evening air filled my head with so many new ideas for future paintings. 🖌️🌌. Do you prefer exploring new cities by the bright light of day, or the cozy glow of the night? 👇✨

Painting isn’t just about applying pigment to a canvas; above all, it’s about learning how to see. And sometimes, the greatest inspiration isn’t found inside the studio, but right outside our doorstep, in our own forest. 🌲✨
In these photos we captured at the end of the day, we let ourselves get carried away by the sacred play of light and shadow. Notice how the sun draws perfect lines across the ground (swipe left to see the full carousel 👉), how the deep darkness of the pines makes the golden hour glow even brighter, and, in the first slide, how our own silhouettes stretch and merge with the earth. We became part of the painting.
For me, as a painter, nature is the ultimate master of contrast and composition. Every ray of light is a golden brushstroke, turning the forest floor into a living art gallery. 🎨🖌️
Which of these perspectives brings you the most peace? The light peeking through, the sharp contrast on the ground, or the embrace of the shadows? Let me know in the comments! 👇
