It’s the community. Lisbon doesn’t just tolerate children, Lisbob embraces them 💕

If you’re carrying a toddler or pushing a pram, you’ll likely get directed straight to the front - museums, castles, government offices. It’s just common courtesy, and it’s baked into the culture

It’s also the neighbour who learns your child’s name before yours. The café owner who brings them a cookie without being asked

Its the city that slows down for little ones instead of asking them to keep up

A quick 20 minute stroll from Jerónimos Monastery, you’ll find where the first-ever jacarandas trees were planted in Lisbon

Beautifully preserved, Jardim Botânico da Ajuda reminds me of the gardens you see at European palaces, such as the Palace of Versailles

Since there’s a small entrance fee to visit, it tends to be quite empty compared to other parks & viewpoints, allowing you to fully embrace the surroundings
