Lisbon’s markets are spread across different neighbourhoods, so you can easily fit them into a day of sightseeing. Here are the main spots.
Rossio Square

A central, easy win. Wooden stalls, snacks, and enough festive ambience to feel seasonal without being chaotic. Ideal if you’re passing through on foot.
Mercado de Natal do Bairro Alto
Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara
1200-470 Lisboa | Find on Map
A smaller more cosy market with an 11-metre tall Christmas tree decorating the terrace and a “Santa’s House” for kids and families, which tends to add a nice magical, kid-friendly vibe. The mix of locals, small vendors, and that neighbourhood vibe makes it feel more “real” than tourist-oriented market
Campo Pequeno

Held inside the circular, red-brick bullring. It’s mostly artisan stalls and small gifts. Good for picking up local products without paying inflated “Christmas market” prices.
Figueira Christmas Gourmet Market
Praça da Figueira, 1100-241 Lisbon | Find on Map
More about eating than shopping. Good for trying local sweets, cheeses, and seasonal bites. Easy to combine with Rossio and Baixa.
LX Factory Market
Rua Rodrigues Faria 103, 1300-501 Lisbon | Find on Map
It’s not a traditional Christmas market, but it’s a cracking place to hunt for unique gifts. Set inside one of Lisbon’s best-known creative hubs, this market leans firmly towards the indie side.
Every Sunday until 6pm
