Cork doesn't get harvested every year , it takes 9 years per tree. This week we caught it live in Alentejo. 🌳

Our guests from the US joined us for a private Jeep tour through wild cork oak groves near Grândola, watching skilled workers strip bark by hand the same way it's been done for generations, then wrapped up at the cork stack where the harvest gets sorted.

The sound before the taste 🧀🔨

This is Parmigiano Reggiano the way it’s been made for generations — no shortcuts, no machines doing the thinking. Just a master cheesemaker, decades of instinct, and a small hammer tapping every single wheel to listen for imperfections hidden inside.

Our Norwegian guests got a front-row seat to this ritual in Modena — watching the curd being worked by hand before it even becomes cheese, deep in the heart of Emilia-Romagna.
Then came the reward: a tasting of Parmigiano aged 3 different ways, paired with local honey and balsamic vinegar. 🍯

This is what a Farm Experience feels like — not a museum tour, but the real thing, still happening the same way it did 100 years ago.

Walking through the cobblestone lanes of São Miguel, rope in hand, with a rescued donkey by your side — this is what a morning with Bethany looks like in the Azores.

"It's rare you meet someone so knowledgeable and passionate about their craft, and so kind and down to earth at the same time. This was definitely one of the most memorable and unique experiences we had on our whole trip." ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Not a tourist attraction. A genuine cause — rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming donkeys who deserve a second chance. 🫏💛
