Porto is one of those places.

There is something about this city that is difficult to explain in words. The Douro River, the old streets, the granite buildings, the lights reflecting on the water, and the unmistakable presence of the Dom Luís I Bridge.

Even after years of showing Portugal to our guests, we still find ourselves stopping to admire Porto.

Because this is what we love about being local guides: we don't just show people places — we get to experience them again and again through our own eyes.

Porto has character. It has history, soul, imperfections and beauty. And perhaps that's why we never get tired of it.

Wine, history, and the sea — all in one day. 🇵🇹

One of our favourite things about Portugal is how much can fit into a single day.

We can start in Azeitão, surrounded by vineyards and history, visiting José Maria da Fonseca, one of Portugal’s oldest and most iconic wine producers.

A look inside the historic cellars, a few great wines, and time to simply enjoy the experience.

And then, not far away, the landscape changes completely.

Sesimbra. 🌊

From wine country to the Atlantic coast, with its beautiful coastline, old town and spectacular views from the castle.

This is one of the reasons we love showing people the Portugal we know.
