There is a lot of street Art in Lisbon, some are official, some are not. Here are some old ones as well, which do not exist anymore. There are people who don't consider it as art. Lucky there are still some pics. This will be a album in movement!
For my tours I show some street art when people like.

During one of my tours we visited the Graça Convent. The Convento da Graça was built on a site known as Almofala, chosen by Dom Afonso Henriques, the first king of Portugal, as the encampment for his troops during their siege of Lisbon in 1147. I found within these tiles that show how the propaganda of the Christians versus the Muslims worked. We must not forget that in those times most people could not read or write and for "knowledge" depended on the words of the priests, oral stories of the past and visual material. On these tiles we see that it is better to win a war. It shows the bad Muslims that beheaded so-called saints, burn them and cut the breasts of women. The language of the victors creates a new world whether it is true or false does not matter.
