The writer António Lobo Antunes received yesterday, 22 March 2011, the Doctor Honoris Causa title from the University of Lisbon. He thanked the fact of joining four names of their family connected with the institution, celebrating this year the 100 years of existence..
"My blood connected for 100 years to this university - my great-grandfather, João Maria de Almeida Lima, taught at the university and was its second Rector, my great-uncle Pedro de Almeida Lima was professor here, my father, João Lobo Antunes, was also a professor here, and my brother João Lobo Antunes is a professor at this university - and I thank the Rector for having put in some way, my name among these four names, "said the writer.
