The name of the trail pretty much says everything. It covers a section of the Sintra mountains usually shrouded with heavy fogs and very luxurious and profound forests. An unique beauty in a mystical place with lots of surprises. Suitable for children and dogs, not suitable for young children.

This trail follows the "Ribeira da mula" stream all the way to its source in the depths of its valley. It covers an unique beautifull landscape on a more wild side of the Sintra mountains away from the tourists clutter. Here you will get a taste of adventure. Suitable for children and dogs. Beneath the Moorish Castle lies a huge rock cliff called "Penedo da Amizade" or translated "The friendship rock". This trail follows the path up to base of this cliff, a very popular site for climbing, and continues trough P***s Palace all the way to Seteais Palace. It covers a great deal of what the Sintra forests are all about. Not suitable for young children, suitable for dogs.

The Medieval path follows the ancient medieval roads from S. Pedro de Sintra up to the Moorish Castle and P***s Palace. You can witness the typical villages of the time and marvel with the beautifull landscapes and luxurious forests surrounding you. An easy hike that yet has a lot to offer.Suitable for children, not suitable for dogs.
