But here, the vines were never grafted.
They grow straight in the sand, 8 meters below sea level.
The sand protects them.

200 years later, Ramisco and Malvasia still grow on their own roots.
Pre-phylloxera vines. One of the last places on earth.

Where the Atlantic meets the vineyard, the vines survive.
