Last Sunday we joined a new concept this summer:
A shared table by .laraa__

8 guests. One shared table on a beautiful rooftop terrace in the middle of Olhão with a seasonal menu inspired by the Olhão market, local producers and organic products.

Together with Wellness OASE OOST massage & persoonlijke wellness at Quinta L Jeiro Ronald van der Voort we had a great evening with good food and wonderful people we had never met before.

Swipe through 8 years. From an empty plot to this →

8 years ago, in August 2018, we became the proud owners of our land in Fuseta. Happy, excited, full of plans.

We had no idea a six-and-a-half year journey and adventure was about to begin. One that asked for both grit and grace.

It took 3 years to get the building license. Then 3 more years of construction, and another 6 months for the final permit to rent and reside. We ticked every box on the list: bureaucratic delays, missing documents, supply chain issues, absentee workers, contractor troubles. What we expected to take 1.5 years of construction became 3.

Patience. Letting go. Embracing uncertainty. That’s what this adventure taught us. Along the way we discovered our resilience, our vulnerability, and the power of supporting each other. It makes us very proud!

Today, Celebra a Vida Resort is exactly as we pictured it.

A place to celebrate life! 🩵

Summer temperatures in Portugal and much of Europe. Time to cool down!
